Shri Nandlal Madhavlal Dhoot, the founder of the Videocon Group, completed his education in Ahmednagar and Pune. After a successful consignment in the cultivation of sugarcane and cotton, he bravely attempted shipping machinery from Europe to set up the Gangapur Sakhar Karkhana, Sugar Mill in 1955. During that period the villages did not have electricity. Eventually, the Industrial Revolution got unleashed.

Over the years, Nandlalji’s attitude has brought major innovations that found their appearance in innumerable routes, drawing him a well-deserved reputation- The Pioneer of industrial activity in Marathwada, Maharashtra, India. Consequently, In the early ’80s, Nandlalji prefaced his three sons – Venugopal, Rajkumar, and Pradipkumar into his own business.

Venugopal Dhoot, born in Mumbai, India is an Indian businessman and the Chairman of Videocon Group. According to Forbes magazine, his wealth in 2013 was $1.25 billion. Later, he attained to be the thirty-eighth richest man position in India. Nandlal completed his graduation from the College of Engineering Pune. India.  Rama Dhoot, wife of Dhoot and has two children, Anirudh and Surbhi.

In fact, Dhoot was an enthusiastic cricket fan and a proficient flutist.  Owing to his cricket fantasy, he laid the foundation of the Videocon School of Cricket launch in Kolkata, India under the guidance of former Indian Cricket Captain, Saurav Ganguly.
